CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy): This is a therapy that has been proved to help treat a wide range of emotional and physical health conditions in adults,young people and children.CBT looks at how we think and how this affects the way we act and how we feel.The therapist and client work together in changing the client’s behaviours , or their thinking patterns, or both of these.
NLP ( Neuro linguistic programming): NLP encompasses three influential components involved in experience: neurology, language and programming.It helps with the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how they affects our body and behaviour (programming).
Clinical Hypnosis : This is using an altered state of awareness, perception or consciousness that is used,by approve and trained professionals for treating a psychological or physical problem.It is a highly relaxed state. Hypnosis is a state of concentration and focused attention that treats the subconscious mind.The subconscious mind is the part of our mind that controls and functions not just our bodies but everything we do.For example,you do not think to breath, your body does that all by its self, while you are awake,whilst you are a sleep, it breaths when you are relaxed,when you are exhausted, its the subconscious mind that is telling you body how much to breath,how much oxygen to take in, it is the subconscious mind that is sending the signals all over your body ,sending the signals to your lungs and muscles on how much to expand and contract depending on how much oxygen your body needs at any given second.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique): This is a relatively new therapy and is also referred to as "Tapping Therapy" or "Psychological acupressure". The technique works by tapping on certain Acupressure points of the body and releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of emotional intensity and discomfort.It is also now widely accepted that emotional disharmony can be a key factor in physical symptoms and for this reason these techniques are being used on physical issues, including chronic illness with often astounding results.As such these techniques are being accepted more and more in medical and psychiatric circles as well as in the range of psychotherapies and healing disciplines.
An EFT treatment involves the use of fingertips rather than needles to tap on the end points of energy meridians that are situated just beneath the surface of the skin.The treatment is non-invasive and works on the ethos of making change as simple and as pain free as possible.
The advance of these therapies is that they actually do include practical help that actually helps the client locate the underlying emotions and problems that are generating the anxiety and can re-calibrate these emotions and eliminate them and then remove and cure the anxiety.
